The Bee In Search Of Justice. MS/2018/14

Published By

I am created an insect but I work hard like men. I do not admire men in their sophisticated houses because they are not more comfortable than myself in my simple comb. Men often build houses that are disproportionate to their size and need, but I build mine to my size and need. I process and store my food for the period of the scanty and I guard my reserve against invaders which are mostly humans. Even when I am overpowered and robbed of my reserved food, I nose about for a thorough search, but generally I am unable to recover my goods when they are stolen by men. They cherish honey so much that they are unable to surrender it even when I catch them.

I have brought my case against humans before my fellow insects, but their silence surprises me. I have also appealed to men for Justice but their intimidation scares me all the more.

It was before God that my anger and fears were resolved; for He reminded me of my duty to give a natural sweetness to man, a sweetness that cannot be found elsewhere. God promised to give me greater energy to fly to distant lands in search of flowers and to discover them wherever they are hidden. It is in God that I found a just hearing and that is why I come around when men feast on my honey, no longer in anger to fight for what is properly mine,  but to buzz in happiness and fulfilment that my product is served with great regards for man’s entertainment and nourishment. So wherever honey is taken, I am exalted. I think you can also feel the same way when men feast and make merry on your hard earned achievements if you choose to take your case to God.

Nice one Padre, how I wish we could consider bringing our cases to God like the simple Bee. Often we think we can do it ourselves and we remove God from the agenda
